I'm fascinated by bad writing/bad fiction. I just read an anthology of bondage erotica, and was struck by how suckie some of the stories were. Some of that's taste-- but some of it's also believability. THere was one story about a woman very casually getting her nipples peirced by some guy she was like on a third date with who had no peircing experience. I guess I know too many pro peircers for that to work out. I mean, I've peirced myself, (no, not my nipples.) but it just seemed weird. I'd never let a stranger do it.

I guess i'm not into that... I'm not sure what's fascinating about really bad books. THere's the sort of car crash thing, where you can't look away, then there's also this thing of trying to figure out what are they thinking?

the other thing that you notice is the way people fantasize that the other person will just know what they want them to do magically, romantically, telepathically.
this relates to another curious phenomenon common to romance novels in which the young virgin comes ecstatically and ground shakingly from the first time after hardly any 'warm up' at all. rationalized by the romance novel cure all that it's because it's true love.
