Today was one of the best days of my life 😝 So it's only right that I pour it into a blog about happiness!

I wanted to cover this topic sooner, but sadly the last 2 months of my life have pretty much been hell so I didn't have much to write about.
To explain how much this day means to me, I'll have to take you back to my 16th birthday. My parents are divorced & I lived with my mom all my life, so when I woke up that day, it was much different for me than most teen girls I knew. She greeted me with a cup of coffee & a song, & that's about it. I was completely devastated but blamed myself for even thinking that maybe she would do something special for me. I knew there wasn't going to be a car in the driveway or anything like that. She always blamed my dad for her lack of money, so I hated him & resented him for letting us suffer. I got a ride to the mall & bought a shirt with some change I dumped in the CoinStar. Long story short, it fucking sucked.
My father & I haven't seen each other in 13 years, & that changed in May when he came to TX from NJ for my sister's high school graduation. What I thought was going to be an amazing moment was destroyed when he insulted everything I'd done & everything I am to my face. I was a total mess.
Today, he bought me a car out of nowhere. No strings attached. He didn't even want thanks, only for me to keep working hard towards my goals. He actually told me he was proud of me. People CAN change ❤
