I officially signed up to do Nanowrimo again today. I am a cool kid. My project is called Neath Narrows Nut for reasons that are important to my protagonist, and is also the only name we know her by. I love anagrams and word play and each chapter title will be an anagram.
I'm trying to figure out a way Ray could be well known locally without being famous. I don't want him to be outgoing or a local tv personality, or in politics. Just a quiet man whose work has made him well known. Maybe a minor retired athlete.
I like the idea of him never knowing what's going on, a woman utterly obsessed with him and having a whole relationship with him in her head potentially lasting years and he remains oblivious. I'm sure it must happen to a greater or lesser extent. We all have our crushes and idols. How far do people take it? How broken are people inside and how does it make them act?
