Its a semi rant day! Yay for me! I woke up this morning at 8:30 because Ben called. He was having a nasty nasty day at work and sounded like he was close to tears. My poor baby. So I rolled over, to sleep for antoher half an hour. Woke up at 10:50. Im not complaining about that. Its so quiet in my house today that I can sleep, and I love that. My ballet video and my ballet workout dvd came in the mail today. Yay for that! I also went to buy pants, and had to buy a size 0 (and those ones had a tiny bit of room.) Needless to say, I will not ever show Ben the tag of those.
Now, on to my rant. Ben has a 17 year old brother. This brother has easily got to be 260, 275. Bens parents dont make him do ANYTHING for himself. Now, I totally understand that hes epileptic, but he doesnt haev seizures often enough that he should not have to do anything for himself. Ive lived in this house long enough to know this. He doesnt refill the iced tea pitcher when he drains it, he just sets it on the counter. He CONSTANTLY cooks and just leaves his dishes everywhere. He leaves his clothes on the bathroom floor when the laundry hamper is literally 6 inches away. And, my biggest problem... his eating. Now, I know boys that are growing are hungry. I grew up with boys, I understand this. But jesus christ. I came home and watched him eat a HUGE box of cinnamon toast crunch in literally 10 minutes, then went into the kitchen to make a sandwhich, took two pops up to his room, and proceeded to play video games. This kid is just such a pig its not even funny. Ive seen him devour things so quick that even Ben cringes (and Ben can eat with the best of them.) He constantly devours anything I buy, and I just cant believe the parents let him eat in such an unhealthy manner. Its fucking disgusting. When I have children, they will NEVER be like that. I could never let them do that to themselves. End of rant. (Just an addition... I dont have a problem with him being overweight, I have a problem with the fact that nobody is stepping up to help him control his unhealthy habits that could cause him more severe health problems in the future.)
Bens on his way home, tired and hungry. Im off to cook lunch and put our comforter through its second washing. Its so damn big that I have to wash the beast twice just to make sure all the soap is out. Bah!
