okay...here's a primer:

you've already figured out how to put in a journal entry of your own through the preferences page. good work!

now, when you change your journal, a brief synopsis will show up on the Hookup page. any time you change a picture, an entry will show up on Hookup. eventually, curious peole like me will stop by to say hi. they will post here in you journal.

the curious will post here in your journal. when you come back and see that i've posted, for instance, and you want to reply to me, you click on "scottie." that takes yo to MY journal, where you leave your reply. i use the box on your page, you use the box on mine.

counterintuitive, i know but that's how they do it here. on the Boards, it works the more normal way--each topic is a running thread where each additional post is added right there.

does that help? the best way to get the ball rolling is to drop a comment here and htere are on the boards, or stop into other member's journals and say hello.

finally, the Groups are a great place to find people with like interests. and there are a zillion groups, including SG Texas, which i see you've found!
