what a wonderful sunday. got to see my boy matt sharp last night. he is so cute! he was playing in this little room connected to this cafe 2 blocks away from my apartment. just him and a guitar. there were like 30 people there. drool. lots and lots of drool coming out of my mouth. he's such a cute, shy, nerdy little man. i just want to hug him! feed the obsession. he hid before i could attack him. i attacked him once when i was 13. i freaked the poor guy out.... i finished editing my super 8 project. pain in the ass. i trapped myself in that little room until i was done. i think i have a song picked out; i brought my little disc man with me. i had just enough splicing tape. i should check it tomorrow to make sure that it actually looks good, and i wasn't just smoking crack. it's only 2 and 1/2 minutes, and it's supposed to be between 3 and 1/2 and 5. oops. oh well. i'm just happy that it's done. yes, girls in bikinis....

This is an amzing film... My co-worker is from Burna and he told me about the film about two weeks ago... It is really tragic how many poeple have to live in such areas where fear acompanies the population... I rate this one a 10 and highly recomend it... Made me feel the need to want to do something to help these people.... Sad but what can we do.... Many peole die for freedom and many will continue dying.... As long as we have corrupt governments as well as Dictators.... Many people will live under oppresion and torment....

Not to draw a comparison, but this further humbles my understanding of that part of the world than when I watched the 'behind the scenes' for the latest Rambo film that covered the same conflict. One of my friends from highschool calls this place home and I had no idea that it was so crumbled. And then we all saw the news of the Monks. That brought on memories of tiananmen square. While I have lived in places of turmoil before, you forget that just because you live in peace, that doesn't mean that things like this do not exist and require the attention of all or it will continue.
