I feel like explaining something. Not because anyone asked me to, but just because I feel the time is right.
I sign each of my journal entries with a little saying... "Everything I tell you is a Lie". I feel that now is the time to explain what I mean with that statement.
The statement does not mean that everything I am saying is a lie. In fact everything I write is the absolute 100% truth... as far as I am concerned. However, that is where the truth ends.
You see, I am different from you in every conceivable way. Just as you are different from the person next to you in every conceivable way. So it only goes to say that anything I could tell you, any advice I could possibly give to you would be completely, and utterly useless in your life.
So in a way, everything I tell you is of course a lie. It's not the truth, not your truth. That is something that you must find out on your own.
I hope you do not take this to mean that I am a with-drawn and distant person who lives outside the boundries of society. But now I am rambling, and this entry is finished...

You are right. There is indeed a difference between truth and fact but that does not take away from the value of the truth in a statement, a theory, a belief, an opinion or even in a fact. Just because a fact is plain to see does not make it any less true. The only other option would be that the fact is false which, is also possible. This world is loaded with false facts, facts that are true upon first examination but later proven otherwise. That does not mean that the fact was false because at one point it wasnt.
