Went down to Service Canada today to find out why EI application is still in limbo. Turns out that they need to contact my former manager before they can finalize it.

The same manager, I discovered yesterday, had gone away on vacation.

Well, I contacted head office today about why I haven't gotten my holiday pay, and it turns out that I DID get it two weeks ago. Unfortunately, it raises even more questions, as I was told that I had over $650 in unspent pay, which meant that, after deductions, I should have had something in the order of $500.
