Second week of dive classes over and done with, and I've got to say that I've found these two to be a lot easier. There were a number of things I wasn't too comfortable with (mostly the "giant stride" and "backward roll" entries), but on the whole, I'm beginning to feel a lot more comfortable underwater, and am looking forward to going to Whytecliff Park and Porteau Cove the first weekend of September.

If there's one thing about the experience I'm regretting, it's the fact that I'm starting to crush on the only woman in the class. She and I had arrived early for the first training session, and we got to talking. It gave us the chance to get to know one another, and I realized that we had similar reasons for wanting to take the course in the first place. The reason I regret it is because I know there's no way that she feels the same way towards me, which really is the story of my life: I've always fallen for someone I know I could never be in a relationship with. I know that we can and will more than likely still be friends after we're done, even though it's unlikely we'll ever see each other again. (Unless we decided to plan a dive trip somewhere. Again, it could happen, but its not that likely.)

In other news, I picked up a ticket to see SummerSlam at Colossus Langley on Sunday, so I got that to look forward to. Auditioning for the local theater production of "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe" befeore that, and spending all day Satuday at the PNE.

Got a full weekend ahead of me. Looking forward to it.
