Friday night - I got SUPER drunk and embarassed myself in front of a bunch of "co-workers" (read: squares). Throwing tortilla chips and screaming at them. Caught a ride to another bar and continued to make an ass of myself (sans co-workers). I remember dealing out some pretty severe fooseball beatdowns, but not much else. Glad that dude that wants to "kick my ass" didn't roll in there because I'm 99% sure he would have succeeded in the state I was in. Saturday morning sucked, to say the least. I had to walk 20 minutes in the blazing sun for a cup of coffee and gyros to nurse my hangover. since my car was still at the first bar from the night before. Ugh
Saturday, I took it pretty easy all day. Ran some errands w/ the girl and then hit the comic shop. I am now officially addicted to Gregory Horror Show figures - but the game looks too geeky and involved, so I'll prolly just try to collect all the figures - they're SOOOOOO COOOL! After a nap and some grocery shennanigans w/ my pal Nugget - I exercised, took a shower and rolled over to the gig we couldn't play. The bands were all super fun and it was packed (had to explain that we couldn't play because of a "freak yoga accident" more times than I cared to), I really wish we could have played, but oh well. So somehow I mysteriously ended up blind drunk again - except this time I think I was more goofy and fun and not quite so obnoxious as the previous night (at least I hope so). I managed to get myself home - passed out, and was woken up at 4:30am by the girl (just getting off work) - which is ALWAYS a cool thing.
Sunday: slept in late, brunch w/ the girl, saw her off, read comics, made my 3:30 tattoo appointment (got my elbows fixed - OUCH!), picked up my gear and made Feast of Snakes rehearsal on time. Had a few beers on Deadite's porch (he drums for FOS), and then made myself leave before I could get drunk AGAIN... Headed over to the girl's to dog-sit (she went back home for a couple days) and passsed out on the couch watching Iron Chef. Wheeeee
Thanks for the interst in the Gospel Swingers y'all. As soon as the rest of the band has blessed the final sequencing - I'll be revamping our website and throwing up a couple MP3s of the newer shit...
Tak - Nope I haven't seen it, but I HAVE seen the Neubauten movie he did. It was deliciously creepy!
DigDug - thanks for the kind words about the site - your's kicks MUCH arse. Oh, and thanks for the Lisa Marie tip - I actually found one I didn't have (and it's a GREAT ONE!).
My boys Thirsty and Jab are in Germany right now which means I'll be rollin' w/o them tomorrow night. Maybe they'll find a bowling alley in Germany and play a game on tuesday just to say they did.
Okay - gotta try to get all the "life shit" that I ignored this weekend taken care of TODAY.
