We're home!! Sunburnt and exhausted but otherwise okay. Will post more of an update in a little while....

Slightly better rested (though not yet less sunburnt, we pale Celts weren't built for sunlight)....
California was great fun. Babygirl and I had lots of good mother/daughter time, both during the drive and with the activities. We had a lovely visit with Chalko and Chalka (whose kids were adorable) in Sacramento. We strolled the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz with Crymson (Babygirl is STILL talking about how much she didn't like that ride
). The next day we spent no fewer than 11 hours at Disneyland. We rode everything that wasn't a roller coaster, and walked to the point that our feet were sore two days later. Our final night, we headed to Medieval Times for dinner and a show (I recommend it heartily, thanks for the tip Crymson 
). We left California early Friday morning and were back home by around 1 am. Other than Babygirl's father refusing to call her again after she was less than enthusiastic with him on the phone (we were at a museum at the time), the trip went without any real hitches.
We're tired (and I'm broke), but other than that, we had a great time and a much-needed vacation.

i've still never been to any disney park.
hmmmm i could see how disney would contribute to brokeness...but everyone needs to splurge once in awhile and get a good family vacation. the memories are worth more than you pay for them.
