Babygirl's birthday went well, the 2 pairs of Converse were a big hit, but the Beatles T-shirt was an even bigger one. My child is wise beyond her 9 years.

Have you noticed, the second you grab a camera to take a picture of something cute your cat is doing, they have to stop doing it? Even if you're being sly and the camera was right next to you. Is that cat law? miao!!

My cat did exactly the same thing.When I tried to photograph her she looked at me and ran away...

Have you read any of Sharon Olds poetry? She helped me to see victims as survivors. I always assumed that if I were sexually attacked or physically mutilated that I would certainly curl up and die--I was wrong. The struggle to live is innate and with our last breath (particularly those of use with children to think about) we will try to live, not die.
