SO, went kayaking for the first time yesterday, and not to toot my own horn, but I did pretty okay. It was a little frightening at first (my eyes looked like this ), but once I mastered the paddling I didn't do too badly. I did get jammed up on a rock, but I managed to get loose without flipping, and still holding onto my paddle (yay for me)! And props to my lovely man T. for not deciding I was completely hopeless.

I'm not going to be ready for the Skykomish for a while though....
