There may yet be something to fight for. We're still friends, of course, but there's still a miniscule chance for something to be.

And yet this weekend sees an occasion for which she wanted to leave.

So... I still fight. But I accept that the fight may be pointless, and I cast my vision around me. Maybe the odds aren't great overall... but there must be something... someone... out there.

I just have to figure out what I'm supposed to be.
