Went to a science fiction convention over the weekend. Lots of fun was had. Film at 11. Or not...

I wore a kilt for the first time. No women decided I needed a kilt check to make sure I was wearing it "properly." Damn it.

Overall, I had a fun weekend, even if I spent most of it running around doing whatever.

So yesterday, I turned thirty*mumble*.

Today, I spent some of the money I got at an adult shop.

I also must seek a local shop that sells inexpensive fabric, that I might make a great kilt.

Yeah, it's going to be an eventful few weeks...

Today is the Oaks. Tomorrow is the Derby.

This means I am in some amount of pain and crankiness, as work was hellish today.

I'm missing gaming tonight, if that tells you anything.

So how about you folks out there? Got a Derby pick for me?

Had a fun weekend. I got wenched, which was its own kind of fun. I have a pic on my phone, and maybe, just maybe I'll show you the results.

Lots of fun, though, lots of gaming, and seeing people I hardly get to see. And I have another one in a couple of months.

Right now, moments of terrifying boredom.

In a couple of days, it's back into the world of the weird, as another convention comes around.

I've been looking into picking up an ebook reader with some of my tax refund. I'm currently torn between the Kindle and the Nook (with the removable battery of the Nook just equaling the sort-of web access of the Kindle as being otherwise useful goes).

I plan, at least in part, to look at RPG PDFs with them, and I know neither one will work...
