This is a must read. It's pretty long, but oh so worth it. It lays out, in stark contrasty detail, the facts and the ideology behind the battle over universal healthcare and why we must win the battle. enjoy.
I've been chatting online with a cute girl in Raleigh. She went to college less than 2 miles from my frat house. How weird is that?... Read More
I know lithium_picnic is supposed to be unassailable in his beatitude, but I thought several of the shots exhibited poor depth of field. I understand using shallow depth to focus ones attention on certain features of a photo. I just don't think that was used to best advantage in some of the shots. Am I alone... Read More
I've not really liked anything he's done lately. When I first got here I thought he was the bomb, but the last several sets of his I've bothered to look at were just plain dull. One angle, poses that are only slightly different from each other, and not terribly interesting sets and no interaction with the enviroment.
pith. no, i don't have a lithp. it's the sucky-ass white stuff between your citrus rind and your citrus yumminess. they have mastered the seedless watermelon. they have put a man on the moon. next: the pithless citrus.

Folk Fest was pretty cool. I think I liked last year's better. Could be that I was cruising it with a hot chick in tow, but less thrilled me. There was one artist that I looked forward to seeing who wasn't there.
One guy, Gus Fink, had some pretty neat shit. Its not up on the site I linked to, tho'. He takes antique... Read More

Folk art isn't all quilts and shit. This is paint and canvas, mixed media, sculpture made with found objects.... Read More
I doubt it's a first. I live in a complex where my front door faces South. There are units on the West & East of mine. The sun never reaches the patio ground fully. When we get our rains out here, it comes in 1"-2" downpours. Sometimes for a few days in a row. I have green lichen growing in both of my patios. Plus, the walls are covered in a textured faux adobe mix. The little crevices are exactly perfect for such organisms to grow in!
this chick at work i totally dig just popped her head in to say hey (doesn't happen often).
i've had my head so buried in work that i'm a complete space case right now, and my eyes are worn to the aqueous humour and prolly red as... as... as something that's really red. an' there's the headache....
lol... nice... u shoulda asked her out for a beer or something =) ...and on the subject of produce... why do they call it corn on the cob, and then call the loose stuff "corn".. that would be like cutting my arm off and calling it "Sapper"... then sewing it back on and calling me "Sapper alltogether"
