I've really tuned out a lot of the world since November. Just had the wind knocked out of me, I guess; i dunno. But the news coming out about new Orleans... it was avoidable. The people most closely involved knew what needed to be done, knew that there would be disaster if it wasn't done, and campaigned for the money needed to get it done. They didn't get that money - it went to Iraq, and it went to tax cuts. And Bush played the guitar while New Orleans sank.

And still, the wingnuts make excuses and refuse to acknowledge the obvious. This is the worst president ever.

Well, that Benz runz great, but it appears to have a few electrical problems, so I'm gonna keep looking. There's really no shortage of old diesel Benzes around.

Drive Invasion starts tomorrow, and I still haven't gotten my tickets.

Next weekend, I'll be going to Raleigh to meet Dawn and learn to kayak. I've wanted to learn that for years, and it turns out she does, too. So, we're making a date of it.
