My silly bear is now doing just swell. He's still gotta go to his reg'lar doctor, but he seems to be just dandy. The way he collapsed last night, as quickly as it happened, I was worried he was going to die on the way to the emergency vet. Apparently, he was also the belle of the ball with the overnight crew, too.

My little silly bear, Teddy, is in the hospital tonight.
I noticed him staggering around; then he sort of just sat down hard, then lay down and drooled a bit, so I rushed him to the emergency hospital. He has a high temperature, rapid breathing, and an elevated white blood cell count. They said it indicates an acute inflammation or tissue necrosis. I'm guessing he may have tussled with a scorpion.
Since he still had an elevated temperature and rapid breathing, I left him there overnight. My mom's gonna pick him up tomorrow and take him to my regular vet. Think good thoughts for my little boy.
