People seem to think I need a vacation.
While vacationing's always nice, and my stress level is relatively high, I don't know that I'm really in such dire straits that I need to hasten to a sanitorium.
Ok. I wrote the above 2 minutes ago. Then my insurance adjuster called. They're only giving me $100 against a stereo that cost me $200.
A stereo that was stolen from their property. Seems to me that should be a replacement cost thing, huh? They did, after all, leave the mf'ing key in the car door.
Actually, that's kind of an interesting question. Are they covering the stereo in their capacity as my insurance company or as the party responsible for safeguarding my property?
Now I need a fuckin' vacation.
Well, I have one scheduled actually. I'm supposed to go with my brother (and my nephew, sigh) to PA to visit my dad over the 4th of July week. Now, I have to see if my bail bondsman will let me go.
If not, I'm going to see if I can buy my bond off him.
At least the thing at work is settled. My boss said "change it back, since it seems to cause more problems than it solves." I responded, "i'll change it, but for the record, the only problem it caused was in the mind of [the guy I'd been arguing with]."
concentrate on breathing. all life is suffering. suffering is a result of desire. concentrate on breathing.
eh, fuck it.

feh. So, I talked more with the insurance company. We went around and around about how they should replace it not in their capacity as my insurer, but as the party responsible for the stereo. Finally, they decided that it may have been stolen at the tow yard, before it got to their lot. Bitches. I oughta go there tonight and steal the stock one back out of it.
So, I go to sign all the shit Thursday morning.
Sophie booted me from her friends list, and I commented in her journal reasonably frequently.
So, welcome Jem to my favorite SGs panel. I'm not sure if I can keep her there, tho', 'cause I just realized she looks way too much like someone that broke my heart. Ok, maybe not broke it. Maybe ripped it, beating, from my chest and ran it through a meat grinder, then force fed me the still-warm heart burger.

Busy day. My alarm monitoring company called. I have a past due balance of 9.90, which comes out to 11 months at .90 per month. I called them when they first raised my rate from 29.95 to 30.85 a month and told them I weren't paying it, 'cause my contract sez so. Well, they took the .90 off that month, but it started accruing every month since. They agreed and supposedly have fixed everything. I rule!
