Could it be? I'm feeling a bit less down than I've been the past couple of weeks. I'm feeling pretty good, actually. My magnolia has a bloom; it's big and white and smells otherworldly. 
It's only one right now, but there are several buds. My bamboo is rocketing toward the sky, gradually losing the sheath that protects it leaves. The leaves spread from the culm slowly, like the wings of a butterfly just emerging from the chrysalis.
I have an oak that I grew in a pot for several years from the time it was a seedling. They make the funniest looking seedlings - a thin 6 or 8 inch tall stick with these huge full-size oak leaves. Anyway, it's been through neglect and had its top bitten off by a big Doberman/Lab puppy, but it persevered. I finally planted it in the yard last year, and it is turning into a real tree. Anybody know how old oaks are when they first produce acorns?
I've dispatched a couple of small problems in my RTF importer. It's starting to settle in a bit, so maybe I'll be out of fixit mode soon and into enhance it mode. I haven't worked PDF in several days. That makes me really happy - even though I like working on PDF - since it means nobody's having significant problems.
I was disappointed in my last review. Because I thought the PDF driver was an opus, I gave myself an "outstanding" rating in the coding area. It was the only outstanding I gave myself, and I'm my own harshest critic, so it was hard earned. My boss apparently felt it only "exceeds expectations".
Well, as time passes, and the PDF driver reveals itself to be a rock solid effort, I will be vindicated. 
Since I am feeling more sociable, I think I will go RSVP Vanuslux's birthday party. Y'all should go wish him a happy one.
