Went to Lake Hartwell with my brother and nephew today. We fished for several hours, then had lunch, then fished a few hours more. I caught 4 small catfish and a small hybrid bass. Nothing of note, but it was enjoyable.
Then we went by boat to visit some friends of my brother's girlfriend. On the way, we were stopped by the law because the boat's owner didn't have his registration numbers on the side of the boat. The guy driving the boat (who was not the owner) was given a ticket. yay! We hung out and shot the shit, then had a HUUUGE feast - steak, brats, chicken, shrimp, scallops, corn on the cob, potato and macaroni salads. Probably some other stuff, too, that I didn't try. Then it was after 10, so we left. I got home a bit after 11:30.
Now I'm having Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and a nice '99 Columbia Crest Merlot before bed.
Tomorrow is Memorial Day in the USA. Honor our troops - demand an end to this flawed, fraudulent, FAILED war.
