Sasa Palmata - a few feet (up to 6, I think) tall with big broad (palm-like, hence the name) leaves.
Pseudosasa Japonica "Tsutsumiana" - I think it grows to 15-20 ft. So-called "Green Onion Bamboo" because the internodes swell at the bottom..
Arundinaria Gigantea - River Cane grows to about 20 ft. It's the only species native to the US and used to cover the southeast like kudzu.
I have three small ground cover species that I can't quite recall the names of.
Y'all go give b'day wishes to stuzzy. I'm gonna deliver mine personally in carbonated form.
