Bugger it all. I'm taking a vacation day. Make it a 4-day weekend. The ability to do this with zero notice is one of the greatest benefits of not having to deal directly with customers. The greatest benefit of not having to deal directly with customers is not having to deal directly with customers.
Maybe I'll actually do something productive, like
-do the dishes
-mow the lawn
-change the cat litter
-drain the water separator in my vw
-wash the bike
-replace the pump on my little patio pond
-read. i wouldn't consider this productive, except that it'll help reduce the clutter on my coffee table.
-mat and frame some pictures
Anything but spending money. I'm on a program of fiscal austerity. I have to save up for my annual $3000 car insurance bill.
first, though, i think i'll take a nap.
