Lazy lazy weekend. I need a girlfriend. Saturday morning, I ripped CDs. Saturday afternoon, I took a nap. Saturday night, I joined a mob of SGATLiens for brews and eats at The Highlander, then a midnight showing of Army Of Darkness, then more brews. Next Saturday night, it's The Goonies. I'm not gonna tell you you need to be in Atlanta. You already know that.

Today, once I finally got up at 11 or so, I ripped more CDs. I did actually go out and plant a tree - an American redbud that I've been growing in a pot for about 5 years, and I uncovered the edge of my rhizome barrier to make sure the bamboo wasn't trying to hop it. It wasn't, but it was damn close. If you wanna know about bamboo, I love to talk about it. It's hard to shut me up about it, in fact.

Now I'm back to ripping CDs; I have an awesome wiener dog on my lap, a glass of ice water, and a box of wheat thins (with no trans fat). Yay!

But I still think I'd rather have the girlfriend. blackeyed

I looked for some Johnny Cash in my spare time this weekend. Great stuff as always. I need some old school Spike Jones records for some cool layering. Cheezy 50's and 60's standup stuff.

It's odd , but I can't imagine not having my Technics 1200s anymore.I bought both tables used on ebay for a pretty good price. They definitely have a soul and history as well. I feel our musical equipment, whether it be guitars, trumpets, or turntables take on pieces of the souls that play them.

I had a chunk of indie stuff on vinyl already, but I started buying electronic stuff about three years ago. I have been collecting other stuff in smaller doses as well. I will buy anything that I believe to be high quality music though.

music is the best.
