I'm now engaged in income tax return program related activities. Since I had a miserable POS of a failed biz that I'm still claiming tax advantages for, I have an accountant do the actual taxes. But I still have to gather all the crap, screw with capital gains (ok, losses), etc.
All in all, I'm not doing too badly. I was pretty well consumed by work for most of the day, which kept the demons mostly at bay. I checked on Jane via a mutual friend today, though, who said she's not doing great. That made me a bit teary for a while.
Now on to bill paying. Tomorrow's Friday. Saturday's the SGATLiens' Chinese New Year. It's downhill from here.

God I hate tax time. I got my last 1099 today. I have 6 this year. Complications are on ther rise. I do the taxes myself, so it usually takes me 2 weeks of a couple of hours each day to finish. I use a program, but the reciepts, deductions, and all that jazz take forever. In the end it's worth it though. I have yet to find an accountant to do a better job. Theyu usually want to much cash for what's involved. I want all the breaks I can get...
