There's this thing called the World Community Grid. It does "distributed computing." You donate your idle CPU time to solving problems. The particular one that we're working on now is human proteome folding. I've got both my machines at home, and my box at work chipping in. You get points and can form teams and so on. If you have a machine that you leave on all the time, you might be interested. It might even be cool if we could get together an SG team.
It's odd, though. Distributed computing is pretty complex stuff. If they can do this, why can't they figure out a way to update the points totals more often than once every 24 hours? Just askin'.
Got my digital back from my brother. The batteries are charging now. Maybe I'll be able to get something up tonight. That profile pic is almost 2 years old now.
Mostly, I'm just chillin' with a cup o' tea and a wiener dog on my lap, browsing SG. Yawp!

No, actaully I am not too certain that he is NOT a killer...although we did have a conversation about me being one and him coming down and me cutting him up into ten pieces so my sick self could have ten of him. Eww.
I don't wear underware. So, what should I do...?
