I think we should completely do away with cars in favor of motorcycles. I guarantee that traffic accidents would decrease by at least half. Why, you ask? Good question, responds I. Here are some reasons:

• DUI would be practically eliminated. The first thing to go when you're drinking is your balance. How you gonna go off and get a DUI when you can't even keep the bike upright?
• You can't do your makeup while you're on a bike. Or read. Or play with your friggin' laptop. Or any of a number of other things.
• Old people will stop driving before they become dangerous. If you have the strength and balance required to ride the bike, then I mostly trust you to not run me down on the sidewalk or in my living room.
• We'll flat out be more careful because you're completely exposed on a motorcycle.
• Cell phones. You can still talk on 'em if you got a headset, but at least it's hands free.

Of course, since fewer people would be qualified to drive, public transportation (which would not be via motorcycle, of course) would have to be improved, which is never a bad thing. The amount of space we pave for parking area could be reduced.
