Happy Birthday to me!
So far my day has been relatively uneventful and full of lounging while playing Harvest Moon DS. No complaints! Girlfriend has been at work, so I utilized my free time during the most selfish holiday of the year to simply take it easy with the excuse of "Hey, it's my birthday! So I have a right to be unproductive!"
Not to say that I'm not doing anything in celebration of my 23rd year of being alive. Just got back from a 2-day trip to OR yesterday where we stayed at a lodge owned by McMinnamins - AMAZING. And tonight I'm going out to sing karaoke and drink with friends! So already this year is infinitely better than last year's! Here's a breakdown...
LAST YEAR...
Pros: Got to see family. Wild kinky sex. (And those two events were completely unrelated, sicko)
Cons: Everybody that said they would take me out for a drink bailed on me. I spent the night of my actual birthday alone, with a pack of cigarettes and a gatorade watching 1408. Discovered that I no longer felt "at home" when visiting "home". Shitty roommate. Shitty roommate's girlfriend who moved in with us for free without anybody asking me. Scabies.
THIS YEAR...
Pros: Amazing girlfriend (which usually comes with the guarantee of wild kinky sex whenever desired). More defined group of true friends. Exciting potential for future. Family visiting tomorrow. Trip to OR. About $50 worth of books from Powells. Lots of new vinyls. Confidence.
Cons: No longer in school, so my excuse for being poor is less acceptable.
