Existential Quandary...

You ever wonder where we come from?

I mean, I could come from biology, anatomy, history, and philosophy.

But, why would I do that?!

This is a simple thought experiment.

Just playful, almost childish thought, some flights of fancy, about what the purpose or meaning of life might be.

Could it be possible to have and find a meaning to life?

After all, life couldn't possibly have meaning for all, but for one, not by social standards, anyway.

Life is different for everyone because we are individuals. Therefore, life has different meaning for each person.

Given their upbringing, mentality, integrity, and attitude (for starters) - in a rough sketch kind of way- that gives them their own opinion. Opinions of the opposite sex, cars, food, clothes, science, aliens, phenomena, and, well, life.

I guess, as you look at it, it's all based on one's opinion.

So, life really has no meaning.

If you think it does, well, that's just your opinion.

Or maybe, there is true meaning, some logical explanation of reason that defines life as we know it. If there is, what is it?

Are we to waste our gracious "gift" of life that our "heavenly father" gave us?

Are we just here because atoms were spliced with other atoms in a "big bang" in the universe and thus the planet was formed and it created oxygen, carbon dioxide, etc... and then combining them to create natural wonders, true wonders, such as the ozone, atmosphere, water and it's cycle, and everything else, then life emerges and adapts to the environment around it, thus comes into play evolution, first single celled organisms, into fish then into land creatures then into monkeys and then, eventually, homo-sapien-sapiens?

Maybe, we are just some research project for some alien race, constantly being observed on how we think, act, believe, live, create, and observe; and obductions could be a way of keeping up with us; or, maybe improve their test subjects (us) or maybe they fuck with our minds and/or bodies for more tests on how we deal with what they've done to us, playing with our emotions, beliefs, and suspicions.

Maybe, we are here just to see how well we perceive life as we know it and as soon as you figure it out the puzzle of life you die or simply advance to the next stage.

Or, possibly we are suppose to advance our species and government and then become ambassadors of alien nations and bring some sort of balance between species.

Or, maybe, back to the original alien topic, maybe we are to advance to their expectations and gain knowledge of other universes, species, and facts and theories of space, time, and other technicalities of life for their benefit.

Or, maybe, just maybe, we are here to benefit ourselves, help one another, allow our species to exceed our own expectations and actually live our lives the best way. A way to make us feel that our life was truly well lived and completely fulfilled to one's pleasure, finding death to be a sort of retirement home for one's subconsciousness and no longer fear the "bitter end".

Or, maybe, we are a life force of energy longing to be purified and once we have cleansed our energy or have found how to use that energy to benefit others and our planet we can finally rest in mother earth's care until our energy is used again and needs to be purified again and we will find that life is just one big cycle and this is were true reincarnation is found.

Or, maybe, I should just stop writing and find something better to do than trying to solve an age old riddle.
