Goddammit.

So, not only did the ultrasound not show anything conclusive (just a big black hole where a kid should be growing) I just found out that a buddy of mine was killed by a car while he was bicycling.

Worst Monday ever.

The only possible light in all this is that my wife goes back to get another ultrasound in a week and see if there's any change, i.e., growth, to the gestational sac. Or better still, a developing embryo.

So it's gonna be a hard wait for us until next week. And especially for her, since I'll be out of country for a week for my job, and won't be there for the follow-up ultrasound.

But here's hoping...
