We have no explanation for the spasms, but Kate's attending physician and neurologist agree that they are probably not seizures. Today's EEG was not definitive, so another one was ordered for Monday and it will continue running to get one of the spasms on the test. (Even though she shook today when she was being prepped for the test, Kate did not have one of the spasms during the EEG.) The neuro did say Kate has more damage on one side of her brain than the other. Nurses got Kate dressed and into a wheelchair for two hours today. We also washed her hair in a sink. She looks great!!!! I saw a heartwarming thing today: Kate smiled! I was visiting with Jill Casper (my cousin Al's wife...they both visited today...) when Kate smiled. I'd LOVE to know what she was thinking then. It was wonderful to see. Mom Angie
