Have I actually been here over 2 years aleady? Jesus. It seems like just I just joined yesterday. Ok, not really. But it dame sure doesnt feel liek 2 years. Man-oh-man how time flies. One thing that kinda sucks though is that after 2 years I've only met two people from my friends list offline, Alexis and Aponia.***
I know this is almost entirely my fault because I can be a hermit in real-life. I really don't feel comfortable in large groups of people. I do much better in smaller groups. And most of the SG events are big ol shindigs. I'm not complaining about the events, just explaining why I'm hesitant about attending any. I'm super nervous and not nearly as at ease as I am online. This shouldn't be read as me saying I'm a totally different person offline. I'm still the same comic loving, smart-mouthing, pop culture quoting, geek that I am on here, just quieter.
This preamble is all to say that I will try harder to be more social in the SG community off of the actual site. I'm planning on hitting up Wizard World this year (finances willing). A few folks have mentioned that they'll be there too. Instead of hiding behind my humongous headphones, I will be social.
I really will try. I can't promise that it wil work all the time. Sometimes I get severe social anxiety and simply cannot make myself leave the house. Even going to work for a few hours is a chore. But I will try to do more. Its kinda sad that less then 10 people on my friends list have ever actually talked to me offline.***

I play usually a couple of times a week....usually in the afternoons. But...uh...I have been kinda busy since Missy moved in here.
