I missed all of it on tv, but now I'm kinda glad my first viewing of it will be in HD.
*EDIT* I almost freaked out about the above statement when I realized I forgot these are coming next month
Fortunately they, technically, come out after the self imposed 2 paycheck waiting period. No way am I missing out on those.
I had a nice long post about all the ways I'm saving money but I hit the wrong button and they vanished. Long story short:
Renting games > buying games
Wholesale comics > Retail comics
Not buying movies > buying too many movies (I seriously have at least a half dozen DVDs I've bought in the last 3 years or so that I have yet to even put in my DVD player)
Speaking of comics, I have a new favorite (completed) ongoing series
I finally finished it last week, and I can honestly say that it was one of the finest experiances I have ever had reading a comic book. It knocked the Sandman series right out of my top spot; something that was unfathomable just a year ago. And the ending was so beautiful. No spoilers, but all of the characters that I found myself loving at one point or another got a satisfying ending. Kudos to Garth Ennis, Steve Dillon, Matt Hollingsworth, Glen Fabry and everyone else who poured hearts and souls into this series. I may be late to the party, but god knows I'm glad I made it.
This Saturday is Learner's Permit test. Hopefully I should have my license at least a month prior to my birthday (stupid 6 month waiting period)
Thanks be to the SG gods for new sets from Frost, Wendy, Chloe & Quinne and Cecilia in the past week. Now if you could see it in your benevolence to bless us with new sets from Sherri, Clio, Alabama, Flux, Marie, Reagan, Lotus, Lovely, Al, Eliska, Synnove, Sloane, Nixon, Ember, and/or Morgan this week, I would be most grateful.
