- I almost paid $9.00 to see Scary Movie 4 last night. *shudder* But my friend Lauren ended up not being able to make it. And, since she was the main impetus behind seeing that particular movie in the theaters, my friends and I opted to see a different film. Thank You For Smoking is the second best film I've seen so far this year. In fact, I get the feeling that, in time, I'll end up liking it more than V for Vendetta. It is hilarious and thought-provoking. And the main character, Nick Naylor, is now one of my cinematic heroes. It sparked a very lively conversation/debate (not argument). I love seeing films that will force people to talk about the way they view the world. And also, intellectual debates are fun
-This Thursday I have advance passes to check out Silent Hill. I'm really almost bursting with anticipation
-Opening in the Philadelphia area this weekend are two flicks that I'm looking forward to seeing: Brick and The Notorious Betty Page. This looks to be a busy movie weekend for me.

Thanks for the heads-up. That's interesting that you mention it's about "free choice" and not about lobbying and "spin", since NPR and other web-sites only mention the lobbyist angle of the film.
