Todays Obscure Movie Quote
Why was she blindfolded at the chapel?
I have a theory that there are two types of people in the industrialized world: sad, poor excuses for human beings, and people that grew up on Disney. I was hardcore "the latter". My mom and her mom both loved Disney films and kept me chest deep in my choice of flicks for most of my youth. Why the sudden Disney reminiscing? Well, mostly because Kingdom Hearts II (for all of it's lack of difficulty) is really an awesome experience for someone like me who could name even the most minuscule of characters in the Disney-verse. I don't care if Walt was a big ol' Nazi; Mickey, Donald, & co. weren't. And that's what matters most to me. I swear I can't wait to have kids so that (on top of all the sci-fi/fantasy/horror/mythology/comic book/occult geekiness I expose them to) I can share my love of Disney with them. Be jaded and cynical all you want, but seeing a kid's face light up while watching Cinderella or catching them humming the tunes from Robin Hood makes me smile. With that introduction out of the way, I give you seven lists of seven all about Disney

Top Seven Disney Facts About Me
1. My familys first trip to Disney World in 1987 was the result of a field goal kicking contest that my father won during halftime of an Eagles game. They actually called for my seat number, but my dad decided that at six, I wouldnt be able to make the 35 yard kick
.
2. I had a subscription to the magazine Disney Adventures for almost 6 years.
3. Remember those flicks I mentioned that my mom and grandmom had when I was younger? About 95% of them were bootlegs. I grew up on bootleged Disney flicks. That sentence alone should tell you all you need to know about my childhood
4. I firmly believe that my love of Disney films helped round out my musical taste to this day; it made me appreciate all sorts of musical genres (classical, big band, jazz, bebop, ragtime, etc) when I was still an impressionable young lad.
5. From 1987-1991, the Disney Channel was my favorite channel on TV (Nickelodeon was a close second). I could, literally, turn it on at anytime of day and see something I wanted to watch.
6. I've been to Disneyworld twice in my life (1987, and 1995), and I'm going back again before I'm 30. It really is my favorite place to go on vacation.
7. As you can probably tell from the lists above, as much as I love Disney, my favorite movies/shows/characters are the less popular and more obscure ones.
If you have Disney faves, by all means post your lists here too
