I know you probably think you know what new movie I'm looking forward to seeing this weekend. You're all betting I'll be lined up to see Hostel right? Truth be told I forgot it was out this weekend. Tells you how psyched I am to see it huh? I hate seeing horror movies in the theaters especially on opening weekend. To me, a good horror film needs to be experianceed in a dark house, by yourself or with a few friends (all of whom will be respectful enough to be silent for the majority of the film). You have to allow the atmosphere to wash over you like a tidal wave in order to fully enjoy the efforts of the filmmakers (unless the film is Saw in which nothing short of a frontal lobotomy can help you enjoy the film). Unfortunately the vast majority of people who go to see horror films in the theaters do not share this view. They go to scream, and shout and be titillated. Not a damn thing wrong with that. That is what these films are made for. But That is not how I prefer to experience a horror film.
No, the new film I'm looking forward to is Bloodrayne. I shit you not. I love the irreverence of the games and the character. Yes, I know Uwe Boll is a horrible director, but as long as he delivers the 3 "B"'s, I'll be good: Ben Kingsley, Blood, & Boobs. Seriously, as long as I get those, I won't care what the script or acting, or effects are like. I have a soft spot in my heart for cheesy exploitation flicks, and a movie based off of a videogame featuring a hyper-sexed female vampire assassin has exploitation written all over it. And, you know, boobies. Besides, any theater showing this flick should be dead as the grave. It will probably recall when I went to see Mean Girls at 11:30 am on a Wednesday during the school year. I was the only one there and I felt really dirty. Now I'll be the only one there but I won't feel as dirty because Kristanna Loken is of legal age.
I've decided that next year I'm going to take my long delayed trip to Disney World. (And if that's not the most disturbing subject change you've experienced all day, I pity you.) I was supposed to go back in 2004 but then I did something stupid like quit my job. That made it hard to go to Disney World. I am planning on going the first full week of December, which means I still have some time to finalize my plans before I request time off. Obviously with a place like Disney the more, the merrier. I'm not suggesting that I spearhead a huge SG Disney Trip. But If anyone else would be interested in going down to Orlando around the first week in Dec 07, well they'll know someone else down there
Oh, and Heather B's "All Glocks Down" has been stuck in my fucking brain all day today. And I don't. Know. Why!

Some people Missy works with saw it and hated it. It's got a 7% on RT with only 30 reviews, looking like most critics didn't even bother with it. And it didn't even crack the top 10 at the box office, which means it didn't even crack $4 million....probably not even $2 million since the studios aren't even releasing the estimate yet.
