Crumbs that sounds hideous! My sister (she is 12) is at a Catholic school, not because my family are Catholic but because it's the only decent school academically near to where we live. They have similar attitudes when it comes to punishment though, in ways that they would never get away with if it was an ordinary state school. I think she quite likes it in a way, haha it's turning her into a mini anarchist.
School sucked on every single level for me, I left when I was 12 and never went back.

It was! I sometimes wish that I had stayed, maybe it would have eventually toughened me up. As it is I still made it through all the same levels of education as my peers, just not within the school environment. So I don't really regret it, school on the whole has a lot to answer for. I know so many people scared for life by their experiences.
