Ignore that last post. I'm trying to be more of the "silent stoic" type these days, and my whining goes against that principle.

Can't resist answering the survey question. Perfect first two morning hours:

7:13am - Revive, roll over, see the time. Cool, plenty of time left. It's a Saturday. Roll back to sleep.

7:47am - Revive again. Much rested. Morning wood. Solid. The air is too cold to get out (8 inches of snow on the ground outside), but its warm under the covers. Shot of Listerine. No, I don't keep a shot on my night table, and I have no idea where I spit (I suppose back in the cup), but its there. Good thing too, because. . .

7:48am - Curl up behind her. She glances back at me. Quick kiss good morning. She's tastes peppermint, so she must have taken her shot already at 7:46am. The quick kiss turns to focusing on the neck. And below.

8:03am - Flip.

8:11am - Proceed to the main event.

8:36am - Take it home. Getting hungry. But post-coital / back to sleep.

8:58am - Time to get up. Ravenous. She stays in bed. I start coffee and steam some dim sum. Again, don't ask me where the dim sum comes from. It's perfect, so it's just there.

9:00am - I hear the TV in the bedroom go on (dope, cuz I don't have a TV in the bedroom). Theme song to Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends comes on. It's gonna be a great breakfast.

9:05am - Dim sum ready. Breakfast in bed. Haven't seen this episode yet. Clutch! Damn, I make some good coffee.

9:13am - "We're gonna be a mommy and daddy," she says matter-of-factly. "I'm pregnant." Her sly smile and my jaw-dropping, shit-eating grin of shock.

Wow, 4 in one week? What, am I trying to make a habit out of this here? surreal

I sometimes have trouble getting to sleep at night. Unless I'm ex-fucking-hausted, my brain is often too busy to shut up and sleep. In the past, I've depended on TVs, radios, books, etc to distract my brain into going to sleep; and they've all worked. Over the last...

I went back to work yesterday and, surprise surprise, I fucking hated it. I sat there and tried to decide what kind of job I'd want next because I need to leave this place. Problem is, I have no clue what I want to do as a career while I'm trying to break into the comics industry. I know what my dream job is, I...

Add one more to the encouragement of taking it one step at a time. you know the whole, "Think globally, act locally" credo. It works the same way with your life and personal goals. You don't necessarilly have to have the big picture all mapped out as long as you know what you think your next step should be. As you keep going along the bigger picture will reveal itself to you. You'll start to see opportunities and possibilities you didn't even know were there until you start moving.

Of course you know I'm the best example of going all out when I know a change needs to be made. Look at how I ended up where I am. Like I said you don't necessarily have to know exactly what you're doing or where you plan to end up, but as long as you start heading in the right direction with some determination and motivation the universe will act as a pretty reliable guide.

I was gonna write some long eloquent essay about the desperation and destitute of office work. But I'm just gonna say this: Work SUCKS!!!!!!! smile
