god i hate weekends. thats right, i do. because all i do on weekends is work.

i have been sick with super flu this week, dont know how it happened that the whole town has flu in the middle of summer. so now i am 2000 miles behind with my schoolwork. luckily i have a doctor brother who will write me a sick note smile

hmm, tomorrow morning i have off and im going to a flea market to get some birthday presents for two of my friends. i looove flea markets!! i want to get some chinese take aways there, i have been craving it for about 3 years now.

oh, i can never think of anything to write in these blogs, i must come off as a very boring person, but what do icare anyway tongue

I char gill quite a bit. When I lived on the west coast, in Oregon, Washington, and California, we called it barbecuing.

When we lived on the east coast, in Maryland, we called it barbecuing.

When we moved to Texas, we found out it was not barbecuing at all. Barbecuing means you cook it over wood, not charcoal, It is cooked over indirect heat, not directly over the fire. And it takes all day, instead of just a few minutes. Also, it has a lot of sauce on it. By the time you are finished, you ar so tired you just want to go to sleep rather than eat!

Cooking a steak over a charcoal fire, with just a little bit of hickory wood, is better, Why barbecue a steak? Why make it so smoky you cannot taste it? Why pour sauce on it?

I learned in college how South Africans loved to char grill! Since I could never get and char grilled food at college, I always looked forward to those get togethers!

Yeah!! I can only imagine that to be an experience of a lifetime. Hundreds of thousands of people, to one of the most popular world events..that would be awesome
