I really love Greg. walking home last night we didn't have anything particualrly important to say, but we still have really great conversations nonetheless. We were talking about how it is weird the dichotomy that exists between punk lyrics and punk music.....the supposed rejection of conformity and innovation. So what is more punk, songs with really "punk" lyrics that bring up questions about the establishment and society, or music which is musically "punk" in that it breaks new (non-poppy) ground or rejects patterns typically followed by music but doesn't necessarily carry a punk message. We didn't reach a conclusion except for the agreement that we both really like Bad Religion even though all the albums pretty much sound the same. smile Anyway, greg and i also talked about how it is sometimes weird that he and my friends are so different but then again all of my friends are really different from eachother. Gr3g likes all of them it is just that he is so logial and scientific and the other friends are dreamy and living in an imaginary world. My conclusion is that i love dreaminess and logic, and in greg, someone who has a great sense of humor, lots of ideas, and plently of love for science, that i find him to be both breative but extremely more grounded than most of my other friends, love them as i may. I have been dating greg almost 3 years which is the longest relationship i have ever had. Well not quite three years. Come this mid December will be our anniversary-ish time. Neither of us remember the exact day so we just agree it is sometime a week or two before Christmas, which is great, then we don't have to worry about present being late! wink

Other than that there hasn't been much going on lately in my life. May be going to go watch Moonstruck tonight as research for the radio show i do with my friend. Our radio personalities are these old creepy New Yorker cocaine-snortin-through-the-whole-of-the-80's type of women, both of our characters like to talk about bodily ailments, hairy men, an dall of our ex-husbands. My characters name is Martha and my partner in slime is named Madge. It is fun but annoying. I must brush up on my annoyingness some more. I really don't want to watch moonstruck though. eeeh. All for the sake of my character!!! Be strong, slie, strong!

I may be going up to Portland this weekend with my friend Laura to visit our Friend Elizabeth. Going up Friday morning probably and then staying through Saturday afternoon. It has been so long since i have seen Elizabeth, i really miss her, and she has her life so in control and full all the time with her amazing schoolwork that i hardly hear from her.

Oops gotta go almost late for work! Again! frown

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab sells like a million scents. The one I'm speaking of, Jack, literally smells like Pumpkin pie with ice cream on it, on me anyway.
Plus they are all about the free samples. And since a little goes a long way on this stuff, they last forever!!!

Mmmm...I just put on Kabuki, cherry and star anise. It smells sort of like cherry incense, but sweeter. Like cherry pipe tobacco maybe. It smells all hippie-like. Mmmm...definately a randy scent.
And I saw a show about the whole scent attraction thing. Its fascinating. I'm definately more on the male side of things too because I can't STAND cuccumber but i love warm, spicey, foody smells. All my scents are spicy and food-like. I have onyl found a very very small number of floral scents i can tolerate. But why do girls where flowers if men are attracted to baked goods?
I love the science behind scent. Long before I met my man I was going to go to FIT to study fragrance marketing, which has a lot to do with learning how to actually make perfumes. I didn't want to move to NY so I didn't go, but I am still very interested in smell.

Oooh...your going to Portland...I'm so jealous!!!
