Last month, Chuck, who was the supervisor at the time (but has gone on to be a Head Supervisor), told me that sooner or later i was going to have to conform to the working schedule.
He told me this with so much impudence it made me want to quit on the spot.
The reason he had to reinforce his grip on me is because i was giving him shit about having to come in early on Mother's Day.
Not that i'm a good son and had something planned, i just didnt wanna sleep 2 hours and have to get back up.
That week, Chuck had told me that we had to come in early, and that everyone had already said it was ok and i had to follow suit.
That Thursday I mentioned coming in early to Chuck, Jerry overheard and asked why he hadnt been informed of the change.
Chuck said, What, Les didnt tell you?
Jerry, No.
Chuck, to me, Why didnt you tell him?
Me, Cos you said everyone already agreed about it... that's why i had to agree to it.
And that's when he launched into his rant about me disrupting the work ethic, or whatever.
This is typical; for the past four years i've made numerousNUMEROUSsocial sacrifices because the work schedule IS MY FUCKING SCHEDULE.
I've planned and constructed my entire LIFE schedule around this pissy job and that prick gives me shit for not wanting to come in early.
And another social sacrifice.
Because ive got seniority, because i'm second in charge, because i cover the most work, because i'm a reliable fucking worker.
Fucking responsibility.
Anywho, i was dragging balls at work. The coffee machine was broken...i needed to catch up on sleep anyways.
