LA RISING WAS AMAZING! The BBQ with the bands was awesome. We got to hear the sound checks for Rage, Muse and Rise Against. Each band played 4-5 songs for us. We got to meet Rage and Rise Against. I have quite a few photos. I will post them when I get my new laptop.
The guys from the bands were so nice and humble. I was thoroughly impressed. They took photos and signed autographs and talked with individual fans. They didn't freak out at the swarm of fans around them. There were about 160 people that were at the BBQ.
The show was insane! Rage was beyond awesome. There were giant mosh pits and one group of people who set a fire in the middle of theirs about 7 times before the ringleader was escorted out.
With the headliners, there was fervent singing and jumping around. Hearing the collective group singing along was awesome.
I saw Rage when they had the last 2 shows at the Grand Olympic back when they "split" and Audioslave was formed. I saw Muse last September. I was dying to see Rise Against and excited to see Lauryn Hill. For literally giving birth about 5 days ago, she looked good. I could not hear her as well as I would have liked, but she was good. Rise Against was awesome! Non-stop energy.
The show has made the top of my list for best ever that I have attended.
