Dragoncon weekend never disappoints. This year I had the pleasure of volunteering with my cousin in his department (VIP Badge/Enternal member pick up) and I had such a blast! So many laughs with the staff and I got to meet a few awesome people.
The dinners were always amazing! Andrew and Tony really know where the best places are! Thursday night we ate at a real Mexican food restaurant (I will have to look up the name). That dinner conversation was really interesting. Sunday night we had BLT. I tried so many new things in both restaurants. I even tried something with liver in it! (I am so glad no one told me till after) I also found that I like asparagus!
The con its self was a blast! People put so much work in to their costumes and it just makes me very envious that I am not talented enough to make such beautiful, elaborate things. Then there are the ones that make you just laugh. So many people attend and there is always something different and new that you should never expect anything. I think my favorite cosplay I seen would have to be the Poison Ivy in a long ivy dress. The detail to it was just beautiful.
Seeing all the people is just a bonus to making new friends and hanging out with old ones. Ryan, Andy, Kaci, Andrew and Tony really made my weekend! I am one lucky girl to have such great friends. I even made a few new ones along the way! This weekend was just full of laughs for me. I cant remember the last time I laughed as hard and as much as the past 6 days. (Alcohol may have been a contributing factor =P)
Staying in a host hotel really makes the experience a ton more enjoyable! I hope that I can grab one for the next year!
I got a lot of awesome art this year! I cannot wait to find places to hang it all.
The rave!!!!!!! I have always been one of those people who stay in the back and not really dance or anything. This year we were in the front middle!!! Dancing, singing and laughing the night away! The energy that is there when just everyone is having fun is crazy!
I think the highlight of my weekend was Eliza Dushku telling me that she loved my style! It made my week!!!!!
I am positive that I am forgetting so many things! All and All this weekend was so fantastic. I can see it being very hard to top next year but I sure will try! Thank you all so much for making it so enjoyable!
