That table sure did show me!
Split my damn heel open today putting up new corner shelves in our living room. I was standing on the edges of our corner table (the middle is glass) trying to get screws in the wall, when all a sudden the table breaks. I jump out of it to barely miss our big ceramic lamp with my face and fall on the floor.
I felt a pain in my foot but didn't think much of it. Turned my foot around to see that the glass had cut thru my sock and I had blood pouring out everywhere. As crazy as this sounds, I thought to myself...what the fuck is it they do in movies when shit like this happens? Haha, that's how I remembered to apply pressure to it with my sock. Now what do I do? I was home alone, so I hobbled to my neighbors, they weren't home. So I called Traci and she came over.
Didn't need stitches thank god. Just some gauze and some super stinging soap to wash it out. he nurse on the phone told me I should get a tetnis shot within the next 24 hours...but she can fuck off, cuz there is NO way that that is gonna happen. Me and needles don't mix. SO I get to enjoy hobbling around the next couple of days.
I hope all of your guys' weekend starts off better than mine!
