I enjoy politics, have since about the age 24 or 25. But right now what this administration has done is criminal.
We all know what President Goober and his cabal has done in the past but what is pissing me off is what is happening now, and yes what he did pissed me off as well.
The President is going to ignore everything that has happen since Novewmber 7th. I fully expect him to make his little speech in January about Iraq and nothing will change, infact he will probably send more troops into harms way with McCain and Liebermen leading the cheering section. He will point to the terrorist following us home, he point that our "allies" the Soudi's are thretening to support the Suni's and how this will effect oil prices and how we cant abbondon them and the Iraq people, and ofcourse the the worn out we cant leave till we finish the job.
I have stayed quiet amongst my friends and family and anyone else on the subject of politics mainly because it's a quick way to ruin any conversation, but I need to vent and I fear that my 13 year old nephew may be lookimg at the draft by the time he's 18.
With control of the House and Senate democrats must step up find a back bone and hold Goober and his cabal's feet to the fire. Now I know there is only a limit to what they can do. This war is controled by Goober and since Pelosi doesn't want to impeach, and I agree ( 3 words: President Dick Chenney), they need to control the purse strings. Funding is the key. Not to take anything away from the protesting of the 60's to end the Vietnam War but towards the end democrats gained control of the Congress and used funding to get America out.
So funding is the key, and that is done through over site. The time has come for that.
But now the question remains will the democrats step up or fall on thier faces ?
