I was thinking about sailors, because I really like sailor tattoos, and people think sailors are like, wussy or homo-ey or something....first off, I imagine sailors getting drunk and kicking your ass, and second - if the gay sailor thing is based on reality....you're a straight man, out at sea with a bunch of other men for months at a time...after a while, something's gonna give. A hole's a hole, right?

So I was at camp, but I fled the premises. Camp is OK, it really is, but I just wasn't into it. I didn't want to swim or go boating. I'm probably just less of a bummer now that I'm gone. People were pushing me to do shit, and I don't want to be pushed. I need to feel like something is my own decision, you know? So I sat around reading "Helter Skelter" the whole time. I'm almost done.

I got my hair cut, it doesn't look tremendously different, but nice. I'm trying to grow it out, anyway. It's curling more now, and I got some long bangs, which turned out well. I'm getting highlights a week from tomorrow. Yay, Andre's mom is very nice - she's treating me to the whole thing.

Sometimes I hate my parents' music, but my mom had this bluegrass album with these sisters singing a bunch of Appalachian folk songs. Dark shit. They're all about murder, haha. Anyway, it's a pretty good album, and I wish it was home with me to listen to right now.
