back to australia from japan.

moved into new house. it is a very large house. there is not much furniture, but i am keen to leave it that way, because i am really enjoying all the space.

i could swing several cats.

& speaking of cats, picked up my siamese cats from the family looking after them for me. they are happy, relaxed, sleeping softies. torsten woke me up this morning and has been following me around the house purring. when i went to the bathroom he stood outside the door meowing. i think he thinks he is the size of a tennis ball, though. he keeps trying to jam himself into tiny spaces between me and something other. asja keeps wondering about the house and getting lost, because it's so big. when she is lost she cries out until someone calls out to her, and she guides herself back to people by their voice.

i make it sound like it's a mansion. it really isn't. but compared what living spaces i am used to, it is massive.

it's been raining for the last few days. intermittently, like it does in this driest of states. it's been nice, though.

it's nice to have a few days to myself at home now, i really really need time alone.
