crap.
its been a crappy year.
if i was superstiscious (sp) my unlucky number would be seven. (97 was XXX-bad....much worse than this year...)

when i was 12 my dad and i went to pick out a puppy for the family, and i chose this teeny little champagne colored girl poodle dog. SOOOOOOO cute. she puked on me in the car on the way home
anyhow, she ended up being a rilly awesome companion throughout my childhood. super obedient, my dad taught her to 'kill' anytime somebody came to the door. (did i mention she was 7 pounds full grown?)
anyhow, after the tragic losses that became my family in 1997 she went to stay with my gramma. they were doppelgangers of each other! (i mean that in the best way.) both tiny, white haired, even tempered and going a little bit blind. this little dog, ruby, was a tough bugger and well, she was 17 when she had to be put to sleep on friday.
i guess her kidneys and her legs gave out. she was never in any pain.....just really really old.

i know she was not a person, but she was important to me.
i feel like i am constantly watching people die.
ive never been to a wedding, but i have attended over 15 funerals.
i wish the summer would hurry up and expire.
the festering heat and humidity make the whole city smell like its rotting.

im sorry to be so dismal.....
hopefully i will have something nice to write about soon.
