Two articles, one column, interviews for the old news editor's article, a lot of layout, a lot of editing, learning how to post stories to the internet, learning how to make PDFs in Quark to take to the Mining Journal...all this and watching the sunrise. I finally fell asleep at 6 a.m. after 12 hours of work and watching the sunrise.
I was looking up the meaning of my name, Katherine, and discovered a whole bunch of different alternate meanings besides "pure." One of which was torture. That's beside the point, the new alias is Katherine in Greek. I like it. Yay.
Btw - formerly katie_ayla. I guess I should've said that lol.
Hey. Took me a second to figure out what was going on. Love the new profile pic. Like the new name.
Hope everything is going good for you.
Love ya. *hugs*
The sun is shining. I'm going for a bike ride later if I don't fall asleep. I'm also going to the gym later tonight if I don't fall asleep. I got an hour of sleep last night. I'm listening to good music and writing. I had a low fat blueberry muffin, cantalope, watermelon, honey dew melon, a mango and two strawberries for breakfast.
Damn you girlie!!! I just got that song out of my head. LOL. You're lucky I like that song or there would be a jello fight... Just don't tell the guys...
Anywho.....the Greek is really pretty, if you can pronounce it. I'm confused on the 'w'. Is it silent?
I need some advice. I am considering staying in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for the rest of the summer as opposed to going back to Milwaukee when my run with the newspaper is over.
Gosh I feel like such a bad friend not keeping up with everyone's journals and such. I have been having a really great time up here. Next week the stuff is going to hit the fan when I realize I need to stop playing and write two stories and a column for the paper, but until then I'm just enjoying the awesome vacation. And eating... Read More
WOW, at twenty I barley had my shit together.....and here you are a world traveler... I have traveled most of Italy...I haven't made my way deep south yet..(sicily) but everywhere here and north.....England where I did some research on my family tree and just got back from Holland....being here takes a lifetime to see it all! Where have you been in Europe?
I remember now how much I hate this town and the people who are still here. I haven't even gone to Mike and Tom's yet. I am sitting outside the New Science Facility in my car. NMU Wireless works sometimes even when the signal is low. Score. That's something good.
Meanwhile, I just want to go back to Wisconsin where most of my friends are.... Read More
Hey sweets. Hope you're doing fine. Sooner or later I'll catch you online, but if you want, you can IM me when I'm mobile. When ever we catch one another, we can swap #'s.
Be good, and remember to SMILE!
*hugs*
1) Hating yourself and everything around you does not draw people to you. I mean, everyone has their down times and that's very understandable. But there is simply no good reason to hate and think negatively about everything that comes your way.
2) I am so entirely fed up with melodrama. I've had so much melodrama in the past two years. I am... Read More
I am in love with Antonio Banderas' cat in Shrek 2. I want to take him home with me and lock him in my closet forever and ever.
Additionally, it looks like "The Day After Tomorrow" movie trailers outside. The Midwest is taking such a beating. I love the rain, and I love lightening, don't get me wrong. I'm just nervous about these storms the... Read More
Hey sweetie, sounds like you're happy your self these days also. I'm glad to see that.
I love storms myself, but it has been like a fucking desert here in Florida lately. Send of it my way will ya?
Big *hugs*
For as long as I can remember I have had these scars on my shoulders. They're red, hard bumps about the size of the tip of an eraser. I have maybe 10 of them on various places on both my shoulders. I despise them. I am only really self-conscious about two things on my body...the rest I can dig. My tummy, and these scars. My... Read More
