I wanted to get that post out of there. So...happy news...
I was talking to my boss today about how my work has been going - I'm an intern at a daily paper in Michigan. He told me that I have an exceptional flair for writing - that a lot of people can be reporters and a lot of people can be writers, but it's not very often people are good at both - and I am.
Then he said, "You're going to have a very successful career in journalism."
Cheered me up, to say the least. Definitely got me back on track. I felt like writing my story that's due for tomorrow.
Definitely don't want to let the man down
And thanks to every one who listened to my whining. You guys are wonderful friends. I will bake you all a cake.

as for the bad news, it reminds me of something i said to a soon-to-be-divorced female friend, when she found out her husband was cheating on her (by his leaving his computer on with an e-mail to his lover), and when confronted he basically just said the marriage is over and has acted all passive-aggressive: "He's being a jerk about being a jerk." it sucks bad when someone cheats; it's worse when they don't want to admit it and deal with it.
